VIETNAM 2008

　

 

　

DEC 2008, 3 volunteers joined me to visit the Leprosy, Handicapped & AIDS patients in 3 provinces near Ho Chi Minh,

including Ben Tre, Tra Vinh & Vinh Long Provices.

We had to travel long hours to visit a particular case as they are often hidden deep inside the jungle and being abandoned.

Sunshine Action has contributed rice, basic food & detergent to 250 families/cases & beneficiated 800-1'000 peoples directly.

麻瘋病 LEPROSY 在治療過程中，患者除了承受極大的痛楚外，由於麻瘋病患者需要接受隔離治療，再加上社會對這種疾病的誤解，

一般人對患者採取敬而遠之的態度，讓他們在心理上得不到支援和鼓勵。 

為了關懷這些被遺忘的一群，「耀陽行動」將會在今年的越南探訪活動，推廣至麻瘋病患，這次探訪內容包括：

探訪越南胡志明市的麻瘋病 150 個家庭，預計受惠者可達 500 至 600 人

　

This is the bed of the lady we visited...she has been abandoned by her family and live alone with Leprosy
one of her eyes is blind

This is a very tough case: The Man is blind, the wife is a Leper and the son has mental disorder

Leprosy patients often are being abandoned and live alone in very bad conditions.

　

　

貧困肢體殘缺病人 100 個家庭 - 預計受惠者可達 300 至 500 人

Many of the handicapped peoples we visited are injured or born like this and will last for the rest of their life.

　
We often has to walk to very hidden places to reach the target families This is a family with 3 handicapped children

A very brave 13 years old girl who takes care of her handicapped mother and being an excellent student the 2 brothers are handicapped
A very sick handicapped lady

Trung Tam MAI HOI - The Center for peoples with AIDS

越南的愛滋病人 30-50 人

　

In the area  of Cu Chi, the Trung Tam MAI HOI takes care of peoples with AIDS, both adult & children.

In 2007, over 15'000 peoples died because of AIDS

   

　

　

They are all orphans and infected of HIV, but they should still enjoy all normal life standard and they are all under AIDS medication.

　

　

　

This is one of the best Charity Trips of my life with great support & wonderful volunteering members
